In the latest Parent & Family Education newsletter, Susan W suggests that we could add our "Movie Analysis" papers from FSOS 5937 to the database in the Families Illustrated web site. Has anybody done that yet? I guess I'll hunt mine up and see if I think it's worth anything. Idea: a fun social event might be to get some PEs together for a movie viewing (with popcorn for sure and maybe beer) to watch a family-themed movie, and then sit around and do some kind of collaborative "review" to post in some form on Families Illustrated. Just a thought! I'm not really a movie person, but I might show up for something like that.

Found an interesting web site that might be useful for finding movies or movie clips to use in teaching: www.wingclips.com. They are a religious website that markets subscriptions to movie clips, primarily for use in religious education. But they have thousands of movie clips organized by theme, and so for a wide variety of themes, many of which are relevant to parenting education, (like "fatherhood"), you can locate and view a bunch of clips from movies illustrating that theme. Seems like it could be a really useful resource for finding movies and movie clips for use in parenting ed. What do you guys think?
